Gravel & Rock ordered online by the ton. A dump truck delivers to your Florida address and unloads right where you point.

Annual rainfall across the cities we deliver to in Florida runs from 52 to 65 inches. That much water means drainage matters. Gravel and rock handle rain well, but the right depth and the right product keep your project from turning into a bog.
Gravel Monkey delivers gravel and rock by the ton to addresses across Florida. You pick the product, pick a delivery date, and a dump truck brings it to your site.
For most Florida projects, 3/8" Natural Pea Gravel is the top choice. But we carry several options depending on the job. Here is what we offer:
| Product | Best for | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 3/8" Natural Pea Gravel | play areas, patios | Rounded and smooth underfoot. |
| River Rock | beds, borders, dry creek beds | Natural look, several sizes. |
| 2-4" River Rock | larger decorative cover and erosion control | Holds slopes where smaller rock washes away. |
| Drain Rock | French drains and dry wells | Clean, angular, lets water pass. |
| Decomposed Granite | paths and patios that compact firm | Compacts to a hard, stable surface. |
| Crusher Run | compacting base under everything | Contains fines that lock together. |
| Road Base | lanes and pads that carry trucks | Built for heavy loads and traffic. |
Match the project to the right product and depth. Here is a quick guide for five typical jobs:
| Project | What to order | Depth or note |
|---|---|---|
| Dry creek bed | River Rock or 2-4" River Rock | 3 to 4 inches deep |
| Path that stays firm | Decomposed Granite | 2 to 3 inches, compacted |
| Landscape beds | 3/8" Natural Pea Gravel | 2 inches deep |
| French drain | Drain Rock | 12 to 18 inches wide trench, filled to grade |
| Erosion control on a slope | 2-4" River Rock | 4 to 6 inches deep |
Across the cities we serve, annual precipitation runs from 52 to 65 inches. Freezing days range from about 0 to 23 days a year below 32F, depending on where in the state. Most of Florida sits in the negligible band for ground freezing, so frost heave is not a concern. That means you rarely need extra base depth for frost protection.
The dominant soil groups across our served cities are hydrologic groups A and A/D. These soils drain fast, which is good, but they also mean a stable base needs proper compaction. For driveways or pads that carry vehicles, a 6- to 8-inch base of Crusher Run or Road Base is standard. Lighter uses like paths need less.
Frost is not the constraint here, so the calendar is driven by rain and by how wet the ground is. Dry months are your best window for any job that involves compaction.

Delivery date is chosen at checkout and must be at least 3 business days after the order date. You pick a window: morning 7 am to 12 pm, or afternoon 12 pm to 5 pm. A valid phone number is required to confirm delivery. You get an email confirmation when the order is placed, then a second email closer to the date with the scheduled window and a photo of the material being loaded. Delivery only goes ahead once you approve that second email. You or someone you nominate must be on site during the window.
