#67 Stone: Compact Strength and Superior Drainage for Driveways and Bases

#67 crushed stone is a uniformly graded aggregate with a nominal size of ¾ inch. The angular granite or limestone particles interlock under load, delivering stability, reliable drainage, and a clean appearance.

      Enhance and Maintain Your Projects

Uneven driveways, eroded paths, and soft spots around foundations benefit from the compacting and load‑bearing properties of #67 stone. The aggregate fills voids, distributes weight, resists rutting, stabilizes soil in high‑traffic zones, and mitigates mud buildup during wet seasons.

      Why Choose #67 Stone

      Cost Efficiency

Material cost is lower than asphalt or concrete. Installation requires fewer specialized tools and less labor time, keeping overall project expense modest.

      Superior Drainage

Interlocking voids let water flow through the base layer instead of pooling on the surface. This reduces hydrostatic pressure, minimizes frost heave in cold climates, and extends pavement life when used beneath slabs.

      Low Maintenance

Periodic raking and spot supplementation keep the surface level. The stone resists decomposition, so replacement cycles are infrequent.

      Adaptability

The ¾ inch grading navigates tight corners, trench edges, and utility corridors where larger aggregates cannot fit while remaining coarse enough to lock firmly in place.

      Clean Finish

Washed, angular chips create a uniform gray‑to‑slate color field that complements residential settings and commercial lots without tracking excessive dust indoors.

      Common Applications

      Driveways and Parking Pads

Provides a firm surface capable of supporting passenger vehicles and light trucks while remaining permeable.

      Base Layers

Serves as an intermediate layer between coarse sub‑base and fine surface mixes for asphalt, concrete, or paver systems. Offers load transfer and drainage performance in compliance with ASTM C‑33 #67 grading.

      Drainage Structures

Backfills French drains, perforated pipes, and retaining‑wall weep lines, ensuring consistent water movement away from foundations and landscape features.

      Landscaping

Forms dry creek beds, tree rings, and erosion control swales. The angular texture prevents displacement on slopes better than rounded river rock.

      Utility Bedding

Cushions water, gas, and electrical conduits, maintaining alignment and preventing deformation when soil settles.

      Premium, Locally Sourced Aggregate

Stone is extracted from regional quarries operating under state mining permits, then washed, screened, and quality‑checked for gradation accuracy. Sourcing locally shortens delivery distance, lowers transportation emissions, and ensures fresh, uncontaminated material.

      Natural Variations

Color tones range from light gray to blue‑gray or tan depending on mineral composition. Minor shade differences between loads are normal and do not affect mechanical properties, allowing each project to retain a natural aesthetic that blends with surrounding stonework and vegetation.

      FAQs

You can use our online calculator by entering the dimensions of the area (length, width, and depth) to get an estimate of the material needed for your project.

Outdoor materials, such as those used for pathways, driveways, or gardens, typically require maintenance or replenishment every 1 to 3 years. Factors like climate, usage, and weather conditions can impact this timeline.

Consider factors like durability, drainage, aesthetics, and the specific needs of your project. Make sure the materials are suitable for your climate and the intended purpose.

We provide delivery to every state, and almost any location in the US. Enter your zip code before adding a product you your cart to confirm deliverability.

Materials are typically delivered using a dump truck or flatbed, depending on the type and quantity of material. Our driver will unload the material at the location you specify, provided it is accessible. Please ensure there is sufficient space for the truck to maneuver.

Our standard delivery service includes dropping off aggregate via dump truck, but we do not provide spreading services.

Natural materials like gravel, stone, and soil can vary in color and texture due to regional differences and natural variations. We make every effort to accurately depict our products, but slight differences may occur.
